Connect an agent in two minutes
Mycelium is a remote MCP server at https://mcp.moulddetect.ai/mcp using Streamable HTTP. Send your developer key as Authorization: Bearer myc_live_… (or x-api-key).
- Sign in and create a key. It is shown once; store it in a password manager or your shell profile as
MYCELIUM_KEY. - Add the server to your client with one of the commands below.
- Ask your agent something like "What is the mould risk in Parramatta this week, and why?"
Clients
Setup by client
Add the Mould Detect MCP server
One endpoint. Works in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Desktop, the Claude API and any MCP client. Put your key in MYCELIUM_KEY first.
Claude Code

Mycelium Net (terminal agent, macOS and Linux)
curl -fsSL https://mycelium.moulddetect.ai/install.sh | sh
Signing in with your Mould Detect account directly from Claude.ai and ChatGPT (OAuth) is coming in the next phase. Until then, use a key.
Mycelium Net
A terminal agent that knows mould
Mycelium Net is a single program for macOS, Linux and Windows. Direct commands such as mycelium risk -33.87,151.21 need no AI model. Run mycelium on its own to chat: it uses a free local model through Ollama, or your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Google key, so you only pay your AI provider, if anyone.
Install (macOS, Linux)
curl -fsSL https://mycelium.moulddetect.ai/install.sh | sh
The installer checks each download against published SHA-256 checksums. Windows: download mycelium-windows-amd64.exe.
First run
Type mycelium. The first time, it shows the mascot, opens the keys page for you and asks for your key (it stays hidden and is saved in your keychain), then goes straight into the chat. Type / for commands; the status line shows your model, context use and today's allowance.

Results
Every result is an envelope
Tools return structured JSON: data (the values), attribution (credits to show your user), notices (licence notices to pass on), caveat (the limits), freshness, coverage and terms. If your app shows Mycelium data, show the attribution and caveat with it.
Errors come back as tool errors with a plain explanation, for example a location outside coverage or the daily allowance used up. Agents can relay them as they are.
Limits
Beta allowance
500 units per account per UTC day; an image analysis costs 20 units, other tools 1, data_platform_status nothing. 60 requests a minute. Photos sent as base64 must be under 4 MiB (resize to about 1600 px) or pass a public image_url up to 8 MiB.

Machine-readable docs
/llms.txt is the short index and /llms-full.txt the whole reference in one file, for agents writing code against Mycelium. The server also offers the resources mould-detect://docs/methodology and mould-detect://docs/attribution and the prompt assess_property.
